Collect money now
Exciting! This means one of your friends or family members is organising something and wants you to be a part of it! They are using the Collctiv app to collect money from the whole group, so they can go ahead and pay for your group booking, event or purchase.
You will have received a link or a QR code from your friend. Either tap on the link or scan the QR code and you will be sent to a payment page where you will see a description of the Pot, the Organiser who has sent you the link, an amount you’re being asked to pay (if this is £0 then it’s up to you how much you pay in) and a deadline to pay into the Pot by (if the Organiser has set a deadline).
Enter the amount you want to pay (if it's not a fixed amount being requested) and choose a payment method. You can either enter card details or chose to pay by Apple or Google Pay. Don't worry, we do not process or store your card details directly!
The minimum you can pay is £1 and the maximum you can pay is dependent on your card provider.
Once you have paid, the Organiser will be able to see that you have paid - this will be displayed to them within the Collctiv app, and also on the link payment page. They will also be able to see any message you have left them when you made the payment (if they have selected this feature to be turned on).
Collctiv has no ownership of your money - we simply act as a conduit for you to pass money to your friends and family.
We have partnered with Stripe as a globally trusted payment provider to process the transactions. Stripe is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and you can view the details here.
