If you're using the Collctiv app as a personal user to raise money on behalf of a charity, then our fees are optional! Your friends and family will be able to opt in or out of paying fees they see on the payment page. When you come to withdraw the money from your Collctiv account, you are also able to opt in or out of the fees at that point. We love helping our users to raise money for charities in a really simple way! If you're not already a Collctiv user, you will need to download the Collctiv app by clicking here. Once you've signed up or logged into the app, you simply need to create a new pot. You can call the pot whatever you like, and write a description to let your donors know who you are fundraising for and what you are doing. Once your pot is set up, you can easily share the payment link with everyone you know! Simply copy and paste it into WhatsApp, email, Facebook Messenger or wherever you chat with your friends and family. Whoever receives the link will be able to click on it and pay within three taps. You will receive a notification as soon as they've made a payment, and if you head back into the app, you will be able to see the total amount raised so far in your pot, who has paid into it and what amount they have paid. People can also leave messages on their payments, so keep an eye out for those!

When you set up your pot, if you enter an amount in the bit that says “Fundraising target” then everyone will be able to see everyone else’s contributions, any messages of support people leave and how much you’ve raised in total. Your friends and family can always choose to be anonymous if they wish! If you don’t want people to see the donation history, simply leave the “Fundraising target” box empty.

We take security very seriously and as such have designed the app with rigorous controls in place. We partner with third parties who specialise in providing security for different elements of the app. We use Stripe as a globally-trusted and FCA-regulated payment processor and to verify the identity of anyone collecting and withdrawing money from the Collctiv app. All of our payments are 3D secured by default, meaning that we ask your bank or card issuer to require you to authorise any payment you make into a Collctiv pot, if they have those controls in place.

We don't currently offer the ability to Gift Aid your donation through Collctiv.
