Dance Factory Bristol

We all love a bit of Strictly, don't we? Sitting down on a Saturday night with a nice cup of tea and watching all of the celebs glammed up to the nines dancing the night away- who doesn’t want a bride or groom to have that experience? Well with Dance Factory Bristol you can blow your friends and family away with your top notch moves!

What They Do

Owner Michele Webber is a lifelong dancer and lover of all things ballroom. She set up this company over ten years ago to bring the spirit, passion and beauty of dance to anyone and everyone, not just the professionals. Dance Factory Bristol runs a brilliantly fun one off Stag and Hen dance sessions for you and your mates, but if you’re looking for something a little different you can partake in private lessons or even wedding classes for the bride and groom to teach all of the guests on the big day! Michele teaches every type of dance that you see on strictly, so if you have a certain dance you saw on your favourite episode, then let Michele know and she will be more than happy to show you the moves! If ballroom isn’t exactly what you want, contact Michelle and with her plethora of tutors at her disposal she can set you up with any genre of dancing from Bollywood to Street Dance!

Michele is more than happy to film your dance session (if you’re brave enough!) so you have a video to watch back and (again depending on bravery levels!) recreate on your special day.

Price Point

Depending on the venue, the price can be as low as £10 per person. The more people attending the session the cheaper the price! If you’re looking for a more complicated dance for a session like Bollywood, it will cost more so it’s best to speak to Michele before booking. Good to know

Michele has venues of her own you can attend but you can pick your own venue if you think you’ll need some dancing fuel in the form of a tipple or a bite to eat, or you are staying at an awesome apartment, cottage or glamping site!! We know that dancing can be a bit nerve wracking, but you’re in great hands with Dance Factory and these sessions are about having a laugh above all else, so there’s no need to stress about looking silly- dance all your troubles away!

Graffarty

Got a bride or groom with a bit of an artistic side? Or are you just looking for an experience that is completely different to the norm, with the added bonus of having a beautiful memento to bring back from the day? Well, then Graffarty seems like the perfect match for you!

What They Do

Owner Steve Fitzpatrick is an experienced professional graffiti artist who specialises in graffiti parties and workshops. He set up his company five years ago with the hopes of teaching his passion and skills to everyone and anyone who wants to learn, so if this sounds like something your bride or groom might enjoy- then pick up a spray can and create your own masterpiece with your friends and family! In these three hour sessions, you will be spray painting large sheets of cardboard with anything your heart desires, starting with a traditional graffiti name board, followed by some freehand painting and pre cut stencils. These can be anything from the simple patterns, to a classy landscape that Van Gogh himself would envy, or something a bit naughty that will make you and your friends laugh your socks off! The options are limitless! Alongside the spray painting, you can let your hair down and relax while you and your friends colour in some pre painted canvases using water-based paint pens, what a great way to start your Hen or Stag weekend!

You’re more than welcome to bring your own booze at these sessions, so have a cheeky tipple before getting your PPE on and who knows what boozy brilliance will end up happening on the canvas! Steve provides the bride or groom with custom pre-painted name canvas to take away from the day and you can keep all of your artwork from the day, on occasions if you are going straight on somewhere else, Steve will drop them off at your accommodation the next day. (Where possible) Amazing!

Price Point

The minimum price is £325 for ten people, increasing depending on how many people are in your group up to £515 for twenty people, so it’s best to contact Steve before booking. You pay 50% of the cost as a deposit upfront and the rest of the balance is paid after the event.

Good to know

Steve can help you arrange suitable premises, a couple of miles from Bristol City Centre you can use for the session. Please note this premise is open to the community to hire Monday through to Saturday and gets book up quickly. Important note there is an additional cost for using hiring the premises.

Graffarty is also a mobile service, so Steve can bring the Graffarty experience to you! Just let him know where you would like to host the session (ideally with any pictures you can find!), and he will make sure there is enough space to safely run the session. Please note for the spray painting side of the party this needs to take place outside.

Hen Party Entertainment

Hen Party Entertainment specialises in life drawing lessons, with a heavy focus on having fun whilst creating a stunning piece of work you can take back from the session.  If this sounds like something you think your bride (sorry guys, Hen Party Entertainment caters to ladies only, but you might have guessed that from the title!) might be interested in, then keep reading all about this brilliant company!

What they do

With these cheeky life drawing lessons you and your party can have absolute scream drawing owner Ben in the buff (he does also have a network of very specially selected models too)! Ben structures the session in 5/10 minute drawing game blocks, so expect a fast-paced drawing blast with those nearest and dearest to you. This makes the experience perfect for first-timers and those without an artistic bone in their bodies (like me!).  Draw a picture of the bride or groom-to-be from memory or draw a special time you all had together to share with the group, rekindling the smiles and laughter you enjoyed back then. What are you waiting for? Pick up a pencil and embrace your inner Picasso!

You’re more than welcome to bring your own booze, food and play your own music at these sessions! You can even decorate the venue, making this a fully customisable experience for your bride and groom!

Price Point

It’s £20 per person for an hour session or £25 per person for a 90-minute session. You pay a 50% deposit before the session, then confirm the numbers and pay the final balance a week before the session. You can contact Ben through the website for booking enquiries.

Hen Party Entertainment is a mobile company and although the company is based in the South West, he can actually travel nationwide! Pick the venue you want in the UK, and for an additional fee, owner Ben is more than happy to make his way over to your venue and give you the party of your dreams!

Little Kitchen

In 2014 two friends, Madeleine - a school food tech teacher - and Claire - a street food business owner - started their cookery school after deciding that they wanted to do something different. And so, Little Kitchen was born as a beautiful labour of love to teach anyone from novice cooks to experienced home bakers how to make delicious homemade meals.

What they do

In these high-quality workshops, you will be learning how to make anything from deliciously Parisian Macarons to a full-on dining experience. You can eat your food in their beautiful venue or if you have a jam-packed schedule for your Hen and Stag weekend and you have to rush off to another place, they will pack away your food for you and you can eat it during your next stop! Learn a new skill to bring back home in this relaxed environment. There’s an endless list of options to pick with these sessions, you can tuck into some delicious poached eggs and avocado with their brunch club, put on your chef’s hat and make some pastries that Mary Berry would be proud of as part of their bake-off challenge, have a blast with their ready steady cook challenge or taste a bit of Spain with their yummy tapas! From Christmas truffles, Easter eggs, buttercream cakes and more you will never find yourself spoilt for choice with what to do or eat!

You can book through email or phone for group parties and online for day to day bookings. Little Kitchen can accommodate up to 20 people with a room layout that really facilitates success - your trained tutor will show you a step on a large central island before you turn to your workstations to recreate the brilliance! The chief bridesmaid or best man can decorate the room if they want to, making it a fully customisable experience!

Locked in a Room

If you’re looking for a Stag and Hen experience full of mystery, twists, turns and theatre darling, then Locked in a Room’s escape room is something you have to check out!!

What they do

Six years ago Locked in a Room opened their doors to the public and has been thriving ever since- they are one of the only Escape Rooms outside of London to have copies of their rooms, meaning Locked In A Room is PERFECT for groups as you can play the same room at the same time!

Original Wild

Sometimes a night out at a club or a fancy brunch isn’t enough for a bride or groom. They want to get their hands dirty and their heart pumping and with Original Wild activity centre in Bath, you can get all that and more!

What they do

Owner Kyle was taken aback by the beauty of Bath and was shocked that no one was doing adventure activities in such a beautiful city - inspiring him to start the company five years ago. With these amazing sessions taught by both trained professionals and supported by Bath locals, you can do everything from kayaking, raft building, paddle boarding, or even a code-breaking treasure hunt! There’s nothing better than a fun afternoon of teamwork with you and your mates to kick off a stag or hen do weekend, so get your hard hat on and be prepared for a day of adventure you will never forget.

After an awesome day of experiences on (and in!) the water, you might find yourself a bit peckish. Kyle will sort that out for you as well, taking you to a nearby pizzeria to enjoy fresh, hot, delicious pizzas baked to perfection in outdoor woodfire ovens! What’s better than taking a lunch break and eating some mouth-watering pizza before heading back into the water?! They also take photos to commemorate the day completely free of charge and you can buy yourself (or your stag or hen) a t-shirt to bring back as a memento.

Price Point

One activity is £39 per person for two hours and two activities are £52 per person for four hours. You pay a 20% deposit upfront and the rest is paid six weeks in advance of the event. You can book directly online or you can do it over the phone.

Good To Know

Original Wild is the number one activity on trip advisor in Bath so you know you’re in good hands! You’re also more than free to do fancy dress at your stag and hen do, so put on those bright wigs and even brighter makeup and get in the water! They also have hot showers, changing rooms and dry outfits for you to use so you have no worries about having to bring anything with you, or worst still missing out on the experiences because you haven’t got the required clobber. Cotswold Driving Experience

Is your Hen/Stag looking for something different? What about something with high speed and even higher adrenaline? Well with Cotswold Driving Experience I can guarantee you and your mates will get all that and more‍

What they do

In 1994, ex-European and National Rally champion Andy Gwynne and his co-driver Holly Robinson started their own driving experience business and have been getting people behind the wheel, having the time of their lives ever since! Unleash your inner rally driver aa you take on their high-speed, custom-built tracks designed to have you going sideways for the majority of the time! You will have a super-skilled rally driver by your side as you rev up the engine and powerslide like an expert in the beautiful Cotswold scenery. You and your party will all get equal time out in the cars and after your practice sessions the stopwatch comes out and the madness truly begins! Who will do the quickest lap? Or more importantly who will do the slowest?!

Either in combination with the rallying or as a standalone activity, you can try your hand at the epic 4x4 off-road experience! In their high-quality landrovers your instructor will be teaching you how to do awesome moves like vertical climbing, vertical descents, water troughs and axle twisters!! If you’re like me and can’t pick which one of their awesome activities to do, then no worries because you can book a rally and a 4x4 experience, meaning double the fun!!

A half day rally course is £179 per person or a half day 4x4 is £125 per person. A combo of  both activities over the full day is £304 per person. This is a completely mobile service, meaning they will travel anywhere in the UK! As long as your venue has a kitchen and a kettle then Sally will be more than happy to pamper you and your party.
