Easter 2023
Easter is approaching once more and the stores are brimming with vividly coloured chocolate eggs, adorable rabbits peeking out from store shelves, vibrant floral decorations everywhere, and the beginning of Spring with its green shoots of hope after a bleak winter. The most significant day in the Christian calendar is Easter, which is also a significant secular event. Easter is celebrated by Christians as the day that they believe Jesus Christ rose from the dead after being crucified.
Whether religious or not, Easter is marked by a four-day bank holiday weekend, allowing you the chance to travel, consume an excessive amount of chocolate and organise an enjoyable outing. If you are organising a jaunt amongst friends or wider family, download the free Collctiv app today to split the cost between the group so there’s no awkward ‘you owe me money’ conversations!
When is Easter 2023 in the UK?

Easter eggs
Decorating easter eggs is always such a fun and relaxing activity to do with your friends or children. We enjoy ourselves while sitting down, getting things ready for the Easter Bunny to hide! However, the same thing being done every year can get a little boring, so here are lots of fantastic suggestions to spice up your Easter egg decorating this year!
Why not bring all of your children's friends together to host an easter egg decorating party? Or to create your very own easter egg hunt. I know, hosting a party, buying eggs, decorations and party bags can be expensive, but by using Collctiv you can easily get this money in advance from the other parents so you can put on the party of your dreams with no worries about your credit card taking a beating or knowing which child belongs to which parent (there’s a comments box when people pay in so they can confirm who they are paying for!) Download the app and start collecting today!
You could also organise your own Easter egg hunt with a few simple steps:
Step 1 - Decorate! Make sure your house is full of easter eggs and bunnies to get everyone in the Easter mood.
Step 2 - Prepare your eggs! If you are decorating your eggs you can do this well in advance and get the kids involved maybe the weekend before! You could also prepare some chocolatey prizes for the winners of the hunt.
Step 3 - Hide your eggs! Depending on the age range of the children in your house, hide your eggs in places that may be easy or more difficult to find! The hunt does not finish until the last egg is discovered, so count the eggs before hiding them and keep track of how many are discovered.
Whatever you choose to do this Easter, we hope you have a wonderful time!
