December 2023 Withdrawal Times and Customer Support Opening Times

‍We're nearly at the end of another year, and already well into the swing of the festive party season! Read on to find out how the bank holidays may affect withdrawal timings and when our customer support team is taking a well-earned break over the holiday season.

When do I need to withdraw my funds by to have them in my bank in time for Christmas?

To receive the money in your bank before Christmas, the final date to make a withdrawal from your pot is Tuesday 19th December, before before 12pm.

We've listed below a few deadlines to do your withdrawal by, bearing in mind when the schools in the UK are likely to break up:

• Withdraw on Friday 15th December if you need the funds by 3pm on Wednesday 20th
• Withdraw on Monday 18th December if you need the funds by 3pm on Thursday 21st
• Withdraw on Tuesday 19th December if you need the funds by 3pm on Friday 22nd i.e. before Wednesday 27th December, because of the Christmas bank holidays
• Withdraw on Friday 22nd December if you need the funds in time for the New Year weekend
  

What happens if I miss the deadline and need my funds straight away?

Not to worry! If you run out of time to withdraw funds to your bank account, you can put your funds on an e-gift card, which you can either spend yourself, or send on directly to someone else. E-gift cards are delivered to your/your recipient's inbox within 2 hours.

Bank holidays in the UK in December 2023

In the UK we have the following bank holidays:

• Christmas Day - Monday 25th December 2023
• Boxing Day - Tuesday 26th December 2023
• New Year's Day - Monday 1st January 2024

This can affect withdrawal times, as the banks don't process transactions with the same regularity over non-business days. When you then factor in weekends also, this can mean that there are a limited number of 'business days' over the next few weeks.
