Job Description

As a Compliance Manager in Collctiv, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation adheres to all applicable financial regulations and internal policies. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, monitoring regulatory changes, and providing guidance to the team on compliance matters. You will act as a key liaison with regulatory bodies and play a vital role in mitigating regulatory risks, protecting the organisation's reputation, and fostering a culture of compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Framework Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with relevant banking/fintech regulations (e.g., AML/KYC, PSR, GDPR, data privacy laws);
    • Proactively monitor and interpret evolving regulatory landscapes, providing timely updates and impact assessments to senior management;
    • Ensure the organisation's policies and procedures are consistently updated to reflect changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Liaison and Reporting:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, managing inquiries, audits, and examinations;
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports, ensuring compliance with reporting obligations;
    • Manage regulatory filings and applications, ensuring all submissions are complete and accurate.
  • Compliance Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and evaluate compliance risks across all business units;
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to minimise regulatory exposure;
    • Establish and maintain a robust compliance monitoring program to detect and prevent regulatory breaches.
  • AML/KYC and Financial Crime Prevention:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of effective AML/KYC programs, including customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and transaction monitoring;
    • Investigate and report suspicious activities in accordance with regulatory requirements;
    • Develop and deliver training programs on AML/KYC and financial crime prevention for all relevant staff.
  • Internal Compliance Audits and Monitoring:
    • Plan and execute internal compliance audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls.
    • Identify and report compliance deficiencies, recommending corrective actions and monitoring their implementation.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities and audit findings.
  • Training and Advisory:
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on compliance matters.
    • Develop and deliver compliance training programs to ensure staff awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of all regulatory changes, and be able to explain these changes to staff in a clear and concise manner.

Skills - Essential

We don’t ask for a massive list of things you MUST have. We want awesome people. Full Stop. BUT in this role there is one we have to ask for.

We do need candidates from a FinTech, payments or banking background. If you have this, then get applying! 

Location

Collctiv implements a mixed work from home / office approach. This role is predominantly based at home, with 1 or 2 days per week spent in the Stockport office.

We are more than happy to consider reduced hours, but we do need you to be working those hours across 4 days per week. We are flexible on working hours - work when you work best, and when works best for you. We will provide you with any equipment you may need to do your job from home. 

We also have an unlimited holiday policy, so you can take the time you need to do your thing outside of work.

Salary 

£35,000 - £49,896 + unlimited holidays + options scheme
