Can I use Collctiv in the US?
Collctiv will no longer be available in the US after the 20th December 2024.
We have loved helping all our US customers to pool money with friends and family over the past two years since we launched in the US. We have been repeatedly inspired by all of the community, friends & family gifts, events and activities that have happened!
As a small team based in the UK, we have taken the decision to focus our prioritisation on our UK business at this time.
We’re committed to making this process as smooth as possible. Here's a timeline of what will happen:
- 20th November - First announcement.
- 22nd November - Pool links closed and new funds can't any longer be received.
- 19th December - Any final funds need to be withdrawn by this date.
- 20th December - On/after this date, if there are any funds remaining in your account, we will refund them to your most recent payee.
I have less than $1.50 in my pool, can I withdraw my funds?
Our minimum withdrawal amount is $1.50 as we're not able to do withdrawals to bank accounts for amounts smaller than that. If you have less than $1.50 left in your pool balance, you won't be able to withdraw that amount. Here are your options:
- Until 22nd November you will be able to top up your pool by making a payment to take that amount over $1.50, and you will then be able to withdraw;
- You can ask us to donate any leftover funds in your pool to a charitable cause;
- You can ask us to use your leftover funds to tip Collctiv;
- We can refund any outstanding amounts to the most recent payee(s) - if you have funds left in your pools on 20th December, this is what we will do in any event.
I want to send my funds onto someone else, can I do that?
As of 20th November 2024, you are no longer able to send funds onto another person.
What about your withdrawal fees?
Our fees to withdraw funds to your bank remain at 6%. If you'd prefer, you can put your funds onto a gift card without incurring a fee. We have a wide range of brands that you can put your funds onto, and you can split your funds between different brands if you'd like. There are minimum amounts for each brand; please see below for a full list of all the brands we offer and their minimum amounts.
